The ThermoFisher K-Alpha X-Ray Photoelectron Spectrometer (XPS) provides quantitative elemental, and chemical state information from the surface of materials (top ~3 – 10 nm). With a built-in ion gun the sample surface can be gently etched away for depth-profile analysis. This system is equipped with: Hemispherical electron energy analyzer with a 128-channel detector. Al Ka micro-focused monochromator with variable X-ray spot size (30 – 400 µm). Ar+ ion gun with the beam energy range of 300 - 4000 eV. Cluster mode is available. He(I/II) UV light source for ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). 4-axis sample stage. Vacuum transfer module.
