Darrell Schlom Receives 2021 APS James C. McGroddy Prize for New Materials

Darrell Schlom, Director of PARADIM and faculty member at Cornell University, was awarded the 2021 James C. McGroddy Prize for New Materials by the American Physical Society. Schlom was recognized for pioneering the atomic-layer-by-layer synthesis of new metastable complex-oxide materials and for discovering novel phenomena emerging from these materials.

The McGroddy Prize is awarded annually for outstanding achievement in the science and application of new materials.
