Cornell researchers, using PARADIM facilities and a novel electron detector, have captured images at a resolution so high they reveal the subtle thermal vibrations of individual atoms. This breakthrough, published in Science, sets a new benchmark for electron microscopy and opens new frontiers in materials imaging.
